    Summary

  • To quantify processes of vertical and/or horizontal transportation of particulate organic carbon (POC) and nitrogen (PON) in the Bering strait area, we conducted recovery/re-deployment of two long-term (year-long) mooring observatories. Sinking particles from the sediment traps were analyzed on on a CHN elemental analyzer (2400 Series II, PerkinElmer).
