Measurements of Arctic air pollution in the Alaska
Science Summary (common)
Atmospheric aerosols and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are collected at Pokar-flat and Point Barrow, Alaska from Aug. 1999 through Aug. 2001. Soil and moss samples were collected around Fairbanks and Barrow in summers of 1999 and 2000. Pollutant concentrations in the samples are determined with chemical analysis. Based on above measurements, we will evaluate effects of the air pollutants on the Arctic environment.
