ID-320 :   Ice core environment research at Sofiyskiy Glacier, Russian Altai Mountains

Type

FIELDWORK

Research/Observation Title

Ice core environment research at Sofiyskiy Glacier, Russian Altai Mountains

Science Summary (common)

To clarify relation between climate and environment changes in the southern Siberia, shallow ice core drilling is planned. As the first year of the project, we carried out 12 m ice core drilling and 3 m pit work at the accumulation area of the Sofiyskiy Glacier.
