Field observations on glaciers, ice caps and the ocean in Qaanaaq, northwestern Greenland
Science Summary (common)
グリーンランド沿岸における氷河氷床と海洋との相互作用に着目して、北西部のカナック村周辺で氷河、氷帽、海洋に関する野外観測を実施する。ボードイン氷河では氷河上で流動、質量収支などの観測を行うほか、氷河末端付近で地震波測定を行う。カナック氷帽では2012年以来継続している質量収支と流動速度のモニタリングを行う。またカナック周辺の海洋で海洋特性や循環に関する測定を行うほか、海洋化学、海洋生物的な解析に必要なサンプリングを実施する。またボードイン氷河前のフィヨルドでは海鳥に関する目視調査を実施する。カナック村においては現地の住民とワークショップを開催し、これまでの研究成果を報告し、今後の研究展開について意見交換を行う。
